Take a look around the site to get to know Aziza Jalal and all that they have to offer.

Aziza Jalal is an iconic Arabic singer from Morocco who is among the most widely admired and deeply respected living singers in the Arab world. Although Aziza's millions of admirers still long to see her perform, they understand her choice -- motherhood and family life -- while they dearly miss her cherished voice and the inspiration it has always exuded. The Arab world's passion for music has always been its best antidote to oppression, poverty and soul searching, in tandem with faith. Aziza's voice bares her soul, mirroring the kind acts and generosity that have always characterized her as a person.

==Career ==

Moroccan Aziza Jalal was discovered on a Moroccan talent show in the 1970s, then worked with producers in the United Emirates and Egypt where she worked with « golden age » composers such as Riad Al Sunbati, Baligh Hamdy, Mohammed Al-Mougui, Kamal Al Taweel, Helmi Bakr and Sayed Makkawi, Abdelkader Arrachdi, Mohamed Albaydaoui, Abelati Amana. Aziza Jalal was the last singer to sing one of Riad Al Sunbati's melodies - who am I? (Arabic: من أنا؟‎‎, Man Ana?).

In a singing career that lasted from 1975-1985, Aziza Jalal became one of the most popular classical singers across the Arab world before deciding to give up the artistic scene for a life of piety with a Saudi husband. She was known to be King Hassan II of Morocco’s favourite signer, and often appeared on Moroccan television and at state occasions singing nationalistic, pan-Arab, and Islamic-themed material.

==The retirement of Aziza Jalal==

While the transformations of Morocco’s male singers has had an ‘ideological’ bent, the retirements of Morocco’s female singers’ are quite different. Many have abandoned their singing careers due to social and psychological pressures. This is not a new phenomenon in Morocco. A number of famous female singers have retired over the years, perhaps the most famous being Aziza Jalal. In 1985, Aziza Jalal has chosen to leave the stage. Aziza Jalal married a Saudi businessman who asked her to give up her career.
